This webpage is dedicated to two of my greatest passions: wildlife photography and aquarium fishkeeping. While I have been keeping aquarium fish and practicing macro photography for many years, my journey into wildlife photography is a more recent development. What began as equipment rental has quickly grown into a deep fascination with capturing moments in nature. I hope you enjoy exploring my photos and stories as much as I enjoy creating them. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to share feedback, exchange ideas, or simply connect with a fellow nature enthusiast. I am based in the Tullnerfeld region of Lower Austria, near the Danube River, where I like to learn about the local environment. At the same time, I enjoy exploring other parts of Austria and traveling more broadly, often combining these trips with hide photography.
Since autumn 2017, I have been regularly sharing updates here about my setup as well as various topics related to aquaristics. This homepage is currently undergoing a redesign, and I am revising the aquarium content (reports, etc.), which may take some time. In the meantime, you are welcome to browse a selection of my personal favorite aquarium fish photographs.
My passion for aquaristics has accompanied me for more than 30 years. Today, my primary interest focuses not only on wild forms of labyrinth fish and their natural habitats but also some others like Characidae.
